What is Markdown Alert?
MarkdownAlert.com is free service that provides price change, sale and discount information for women's, men's and children's apparel, household goods and consumer electronics. Markdownalert.com gives you one central location to go for products on sale, coupons, and discount information on women's, children's and men's apparel, shoes and accessories as well as home decor and gadgets. MarkdownAlert.com updates daily so you can find out about the best sales on the first sale day (when retailers inventory is still in stock). MarkdownAlert.com also offers a weekly email alert so you can read up on upcoming sales, coupons and really great deals on selected products. Sign up for Markdown Alert now!

Why should I sign up?
You do not have to sign-up for MarkdownAlert to find out about daily deals, upcoming sales and new products marked down. However, we have found that the best deals don't last long. If you don't find about sale items quickly, inventory disappears. So we recommend signing up for our sale alerts and newsletters via email or RSS. We'll alert you to the latest merchant sales, promotions and great deals for specific categories of products. Sign up to be alerted to sales, promotions and discounts for:
   * Womens apparel, accessories & shoes
   * Kids apparel, accessories & shoes
   * Mens apparel, accessories & shoes
   * Home decor and all things homey
    * Gadgets - home appliances and consumer electronics

You will recieve one email a week for each category you sign up for. Check out a sample alert or just sign up now.

How do I sign up?
Simple. Just go to sign up and enter the required information.

E-mail

I signed up but I haven’t gotten my email yet. What’s wrong?
Occassionally, MarkdownAlert e-mails will get blocked or marked as Junk Mail by your e-mail program. To ensure the delivery of your Markdown Alerts, follow the instructions below for adding MarkdownAlert to your safe sender or whitelist.

Microsoft Outlook users: Reading your e-mail with Outlook 2003?
You might want to tweak your settings to make sure all the images in the e-mail appear correctly. Just add "markdownalert.com" (without the quotes) to your Safe Senders list.

Please select your Internet Service Provider (ISP):
AOL
Hotmail/MSN
Yahoo
Other

AOL:
There is a new spam-blocking feature in AOL 8.0 that will direct e-mails to a junk folder if the sender's address is not in your address book. This is probably the reason why you are not seeing your MarkdownAlert e-mails. Please login to your AOL account and add "alerts@markdownalert.com" (without the quotes) to your address book.

Hotmail/MSN:
Occasionally the spam filtering program used by Hotmail and MSN will direct MarkdownAlert e-mails to the junk mail folder. To keep this from happening, we recommend the following:
  1. Login to your Hotmail or MSN account
  2. Click on "Options"
  3. Click on "Junk E-Mail Protection"
  4. Click on "Safe List"
  5. Add "markdownalert.com" (without the quotes) to your safe list

Yahoo:
Occasionally the spam filtering program used by Yahoo will direct MarkdownAlert e-mails to the junk mail folder. To keep this from happening, we recommend the following:
  1. Login to your Yahoo account
  2. Click on "Options"
  3. Click on "Filters"
  4. Click the "Add" button
  5. To the right of "From header contains", type "dailycandy.com" (without the quotes)
  6. To the right of "Then...Move the message to", select "Inbox"
  7. Click the "Add Filter" button

Other Internet Service Providers:
If you are subscribed to MarkdownAlert, but are not receiving the e-mails, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or company is blocking them, perhaps because they think MarkdownAlert is spam.
Still having trouble?:
Get in touch with technical support at your ISP or company and explain the problem. If they are blocking e-mail from MarkdownAlert, ask them to stop. One way they can do this is to place markdownalert.com on an e-mail "safe list". Some web-based e-mail systems allow you to set your own safe list. Look for it in thesettings section, and add "markdownalert.com" (without the quotes.) If you have to enter a complete address, use "info@markdownalert.com" and "alerts@markdownalert.com". Some e-mail systems, such as AOL 8.0, require a sender to be in your address book to keep the e-mail from diverted to a junk mail folder. If your system is like this, add "info@markdownalert.com" and "alerts@markdownalert.com (without the quotes) to your address book.
