These gorgeous napkins were made by Rwandan women in the "Path to Peace Project". This project was created to empower Rwandan weavers to use their centuries-old techniques to produce baskets for overseas trade. The sale of the baskets provides a fair wage but also the opportunity to take an active role in the shaping of their future.
The bright red and white patterned napkins are made of 100% East-African cotton. Use these napkins with the matching Village Table Throw (also on sale) or with any of your other tablecloths for a vibrant splash of color. When your guests comment how lovely these napkins are you can tell them how these are the first-ever textile export from the country. Made using eco-friendly processing methods and dyes.
