Fashion mags and hot young female celebrities may be sporting chic ankle booties this fall, but that doesn't mean the knee-high boot is "out". Actually, many fall/winter 2008 collections showcased knee-high and above-the-knee boots on the runway. The great news is that pretty much all heel heights and widths are acceptable this season so you can still get wear out of last years pair of boots. But if you are looking to update your wardrobe this season with a great pair of fashionable boots (that you found on sale), here are some trends you will want to incorporate into your work, everyday and night-time wardrobe
* Platforms. The platform is now in your boot. Designers added 1/2 to 3/4 inch platforms to boots boosting women up to an additional 4 inches in height. These daring creations are not for the office. We are talking strictly evening here - and what an night! You cannot help but feel sexy in platform knee-highs (kinda like Cat Woman on the prowl).
*Wedges. If you want stability in your heel, try a knee-high with a wedge heel. These funky boots are especially flattering on women with thicker calves. All women however, will appreciate the height a wedge provides while sparing arch pain.
